What is The Hay Tourism Group?

The Hay Tourism Group (HTG) is a not-for-profit association which was formed in 2009 when a number of individuals came together for a common purpose.  HTG’s objectives include:

  • increasing the year round value of  tourism to Hay and the surrounding area
  • developing a reputation for Hay as a leading sustainable tourism destination
  • encouraging local businesses, organisations and residents to talk to one another

HTG meets once a month, and the organisation has a constitution and elected officers (Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer).  All positions are voluntary and new committee members are always welcome.

Our aims for 2014

Why would I want to join?

By joining HTG you will be able to influence and benefit from the initiatives described above.  Tourism is of great importance to Hay’s economy but we need to innovate in order to stay ahead of the game!   HTG believes that by working together and pooling our skills, time and resources we can achieve a great deal more than we would in isolation.  Everyone has a contribution to make and by getting involved you will be investing in the future both of Hay and of your business.  A good place to visit is also a good place to live.
